I am an avid bonsai enthusiast and am trying to put together an area with trees and shrubs to display some of the bonsai. I have purchased a Macadamia Nut Tree and was wondering it they are container friendly. It is about 2.5 ft tall with new leaf growth at the top.
With the heat we have had here this Summer I am afraid to plant anything in the ground until Winter.
Thanks

Hi Roger -
Yes, you can grow a macadamia tree in a container. Choose a pot with a diameter of 24 to 30 inches and a depth of 20 to 24 inches that can adequately accommodate the long taproot.
