Hi - I have had mice eating all the flower buds from my beautiful garden hellebores the last two years . I’m devastated as they are all special cultivars. I have put wire cages over them and now traps but too late I fear. I can’t have a cat as our dog chases them! Any ideas welcome

Hi - You can try cutting down all of the foliage at season's end. Without large old leaves to hide under, the mice may not be so brazen when the tender flowers bloom in the spring.
